Chiara Dettoto is a Ph.D. student in the Biomarker Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Fossi Maria Cristina at the Department of Physical Sciences, Earth and Environment, University of Siena. She graduated in Toxicology in 2020 at the University of Cagliari and later in Ecotoxicological and Environmental Sustainability in 2023 at the University of Siena with a thesis focused on the impact of marine litter on fish species under the Mo.Ri.net project. After graduation, she spent a period at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA) – CSIC in Barcelona with the Erasmus traineeship program. She started her Ph.D. program in November 2023, focused on the study of emerging contaminants on Mediterranean fish species.
